kinesio-taping-pb-performanceWhat is Kinesio Taping?

Kinesio Tape is a rehabilitative tape which is placed over muscles and joints to support and stabilise them. It improves the body’s own healing capacity without reducing range of motion. It provides immediate support to overworked muscles, stops pain and reduces swelling. Kinesio Tape helps with acute and chronic conditions as well as rehabilitative treatment.

What can Kinesio Tape help with?

  • Biceps Tendonitis and Shoulder Impingement
  • Patella Tracking and Knee Pain
  • Shin Splints and Plantar Fasciitis
  • Soft Tissue Oedema
  • Wrist support
Kinesiotaping is an essential part of optimising function and returning you to sport quickly. It can be used as a preventative measure if a muscle if feeling tight or can be used to support a weak shoulder, ankle, wrist or knee alongside a rehab programme. It can also help with improving posture - the tape is placed under strain when the body bends or twists in a poor position, which reminds the person to be careful  or not bend down as far.

Kinesiotape is also useful for connecting two areas of the body which are not working together properly. Artificially joining these muscles helps proprioception, this help the body quickly learn the correct way to coordinate movements.
